Project AppliCan! offers free college counseling and application advising for talented public high school students interested in attending exclusive colleges and universities. In this day and age, admission to college is often the first step to achieving personal goals and building leadership skills over a lifetime. For the most part, students with less privileged backgrounds do not have access to expensive college counseling services (costing $20,000 or more).  However, through Project AppliCan!, RICI Scholars receive free college counseling from top-notch advisors.

AppliCan! Advisors provide students with strategies that enable them to gain admission to exclusive colleges and universities.  The advisors provide comprehensive college counseling services, including:

--exploring the college and university options available to the student

--addressing study skills for requisite examinations: SAT, SAT II, and AP tests

--offering tips for writing and editing college essays 

--developing interview skills in preparation for college interviews

--introducing students to college application techniques only available through AppliCan!
